As a project assistant, Marlene Cosme provides administrative support to the legal staff and client intake and assists in preparation for trials. She also maintains and updates databases used for documentation and processing.
Ms. Cosme graduated from Florida State University in May 2019 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Criminology and a Certificate in Emergency Management Systems. During undergrad, she interned at a public defender’s office and worked in the capital division, where she assisted in collecting evidence from crime scenes, conducted investigations, and briefed attorneys on relevant case information.
While visiting D.C. in September 2019, Ms. Cosme fell in love with the city and decided she wanted to pursue law in the capital. As soon as she saw an opening with The Employment Law Group® law firm, she took the opportunity and applied. Prior to joining the firm, she also helped start and manage a local coffee shop in Miami.
Outside of work, Ms. Cosme enjoys reading, playing volleyball, working out, and learning French.
