U.S. News & Best Lawyers Name TELG to Top Tier of DC Law Firms

The Employment Law Group® law firm was honored as a top-tier D.C. law firm by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers in their 2015 listing of “Best Law Firms.”
The publications said the firm’s Tier 1 ranking in Washington, D.C. — for labor & employment litigation — was based on “impressive feedback” from clients and the “high regard” of peer lawyers.
The “Best Law Firms” survey also featured The Employment Law Group in its national rankings for employment litigation, and in its D.C. rankings for individual representation in employment disputes.
The 2015 “Best Law Firms” rankings are based on evaluations submitted by more than 17,000 attorneys and almost 7,500 clients nationwide. Firms were rated for their legal knowledge, responsiveness, cost-effectiveness, integrity, and civility, among other factors.
“These are exactly the factors on which we evaluate ourselves,” said R. Scott Oswald, managing principal of The Employment Law Group. “We hold ourselves to the highest standard, and we’re delighted that U.S. News heard the same positive feedback that we hear daily from our clients and peers. It’s gratifying to be confirmed as a top-tier firm by such an authoritative source.”
This is the second year in a row that The Employment Law Group has been named a “Best Law Firm” by U.S. News and Best Lawyers. Other independent organizations to honor the firm and its attorneys include Lawyer Monthly — which named the firm as its U.S. “Labor & Employment Law Firm of the Year” for three years running — Super Lawyers, Martindale-Hubbell, The National Trial Lawyers, and American Lawyer Media.
Earlier in 2014 Best Lawyers selected Mr. Oswald and Nicholas Woodfield, a principal and general counsel of the law firm, for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America.
