Andy Witko joined The Employment Law Group® law firm in 2012 as a Litigation Law Clerk, supporting TELG’s attorneys in a diverse array of employment matters arising under federal law. He has worked on whistleblower retaliation, employment discrimination, non-compete enforcement, wage and hour, and qui tam cases, and has played an active supporting role at trial and in other proceedings before federal and administrative tribunals. In October 2013, Mr. Witko was promoted to the position of Evaluation Law Clerk and to Associate Attorney in December 2014. Since becoming an Associate Attorney, Mr. Witko has limited his practice to pending or potential federal court matters.
Prior to joining TELG, Mr. Witko served as the Director of Federal Solutions for an information technology and management consulting company. He has provided acquisition support, business process re-engineering, and technology advisement services for civilian and defense agencies across the federal government.
Mr. Witko graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland’s Francis King Carey School of Law in May 2014. During that time, he was honored with a Labor & Employment Law Award from the University of Maryland and was the winner of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers’ 2014 Law Student Writing Competition for his paper dealing with causation standards and retaliation claims under the False Claims Act.
Mr. Witko received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond with a double major in Economics and Urban Practice & Policy and a minor in Rhetoric & Communications. He is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia and the District of Columbia.
